Good Heat Protection for Hands - Not Arms

I use heat proof gloves for grilling and smoking. The advantages of these gloves are:1] Reasonable heat protection2] Very good finger mobility3] Easy to have a good grip on your tools while wearing the gloves.However, the length of the gloves does not extend far past the wrists. If you are needing heat protection on your lower arms - you will be disappointed.Overall, I'm happy with the gloves. I purchased them to use while grilling and with an upright smoker that is not very deep.

Pros

The gloves provide a better grip than most oven mitts

Cons

The gloves may not be suitable for use with outdoor wood-fired ovens
