I can't even keep the clock with these

I hung a small clock in my daughter's room, it hadn't even been a day since it fell. I follow the instructions closely, but these things aren't that sticky. I don't know if it's just a brand or not, but I couldn't even get the watch to hang up, so I couldn't imagine anything heavier than the weight the packaging promises.
