This is a sturdy table with easily adjustable legs for stability on uneven surfaces. According to my measurements, at 45 inches, this is larger than many might want. I understand why people used to labeled step-by-step instructions complain about the build, but it's actually pretty easy to put together if you read the reviews and follow a few simple tips. Since there are so many complaints about instructions, I've wanted to write this review for a while, but it's been a long time, so I can't perfect the following suggestions. 1. The nut and bolt that attach the main weight to the base for transportation are specially designed for transportation. As far as I recall it doesn't take part in montage so add it to your collection or discard it after you've finished montage. Just make sure you finish assembling before throwing it away as parts may have changed so I assembled mine.2. Make sure you have a good 17mm spanner (that's what I remember) and if you have a socket wrench to finish tightening as a final step. This will give you a very durable table.3. It has very few parts, all of which can be identified from the photos, and diagrams show where each part (and how many) goes. It only requires a little learning but not much since there are so few parts.4. The best suggestion I read was to build upside down. Securely attach the folding bracket to the tabletop, then attach the support rod to the bracket, then put on the support tubes with the middle connector, then the base, then the weight of the base, and then connect everything together with a washer. separable. washer and two nuts. Note that the down tube has a notch that fits into a slot in the base to prevent it from rotating. Attaching the folding arm securely to the table top and then attaching two nuts to the lower weight creates a very stable table. This is a really good place to use a socket wrench to make it tight enough. Please note that the middle support bars are not fully screwed together or to the folding bracket, otherwise there will not be enough threads to attach the floor weight. I didn't realize this until the end of my first playthrough and had to remove the lower legs and center tubes to lengthen the support bars. It only took a few extra minutes. As mentioned, the table is taller than many might want (45 inches by my measurements) and it requires some pretty good engineering skills and the right tools to trim it down. We eventually decided it was too big, and at the risk of the purchase price, I shortened it by five inches, making it the perfect height for us. I wouldn't recommend this unless you really understand these things and don't have the right tools. I was lucky with that and it worked. The process involved (i) removing half of the hinged bracket to use as a large washer (the support tubes don't fit the countertop snugly so I used part of the hinged bracket for this purpose), (ii) drilling out the hinged brackets , to allow the support bar to be bolted directly to the countertop, and (iii) shortening the support bar and support tubes. Again, I don't recommend trying this. If a 45" tall table is too tall for you then I would advise you not to purchase this table. If that height suits you then this is a great table for the price.
