Review on Briggs Stratton 84001895M Filter 84001895 by Kevin Gray

May be original Briggs & Stratton but they won't work

I have a 20199 Toro Timemaster 30" walk-in transom with an 8.75hp Briggs & Stratton engine. It is 6 years old and I have never changed the stock fuel filter (mows once a week from March to September) As I was doing all the other regular maintenance I decided it was time to change the fuel filter They look almost the same like the original except they are slightly opaque and not showing through like the original.I fitted the replacement with no problems (and yes I fitted it correctly in terms of fuel economy). Then I started the mower. After about 10 Minutes it stalled with no problems. Because. As if there was no fuel. I start it again and after 30 seconds it dies again. And again. And again. The only mods Changes I've made since mowing last week are replacing this filter and governor spring. The springs seemed fine so I replaced the old (original 6 year old) fuel filter. back to replace this fuel filter. What do you know the mower worked great after replacing the replacement filter and replacing the original filter. Conclusion? There's something wrong with that. i will return this
