Review on ๐Ÿšฒ ERGO The Seat Lycra Gel Saddle: Enhanced Comfort and Support for Optimal Cycling Experience by Ben Boulanger

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Comfortable but short-lived

I bought one of these three years ago and it makes driving fun again! I've used a few other styles of polled saddles but this has proven to be a longtime favorite of mine. I ride a road bike, albeit with "mustache" bars instead of handlebars, and ride every day, mostly on commute trips, usually about an hour a day for one or two rides. While that place cost about twice as much as second place, it's a long way off, and with three years of depreciation, the difference is only about three cents a day. The only downside I found after all those miles is that the seat fabric has worn off in a couple of places. The seat is still fully functional but I will be buying a replacement for purely aesthetic reasons. EDIT (just a few months later): I downgraded my rating to three stars due to a durability issue. If only it were wear and tear. I wouldn't mind fabric, but I was driving the other day and one of the mounting bars broke. Although the seat still rested on the front half of this rail, it was a "springy" support and it seemed to me that this would put undue stress on the remaining linkage. For the record, I've put about 6,000 miles in this seat in just over three years, and I'm not a big guy; My weight is between 150 and 170 pounds.
