Review on Mr Professional Scissors Gardening Clippers by Rudy Santos

Big; although 2 possible BIG reservations

A needed new lightweight shears for small branches in the garden and chose them mainly because of the price. I worked part time for a landscaping company during my college days so I know enough about them to give some ideas and I fully understand that for the price they won't be perfect. Also, reading some reviews, I would like to point out that you should NOT order this for delicate cuts like trimming the leaves of an herbaceous plant. I have no problem getting through 1 inch pine and cedar branches that need trimming. Price. Even if they don't last as long as others (or get lost before they need to be replaced), at the $10 mark, ordering another set won't break the bank. Although it's not big, the design fits my hand well. even when cutting thicker objects. This is subject to change as the blades dull and I will update accordingly. However, it's not the clutch that worries me the most. I'm not sure this material will hold up well over time, especially given the less sensitive use it was made for. If it starts cracking, chipping, etc. don't worry - safety pin! I love the idea of having a lever to keep them closed when not in use (they are sharp) but this arrangement is driving me nuts. There are times when it sits on top and I find my hand and thumb hitting it constantly enough to either unlock or lock it. While not a $10 problem, having to wiggle that lever back and forth is extremely annoying if you plan on cutting a lot and using them for long periods of time. All in all, you get an excellent result for the price. Set of heavy hand shears. While I have some (for now and temporally) minor inconveniences, I know you could do MUCH worse for the price they are being offered. use, nothing stressful or out of scope products and they're done. Between the spring that has popped out in recent months and the nut in the middle holding it together, enough has fallen into the yard to reproduce these two separate pieces. They're still very sharp, the handles have never snapped, and to be honest I'm disappointed, but I still think at the current price of $8 they could be a worthwhile purchase, especially for very limited use each year.
