Quite an acceptable universal zoom for Sony crop (I use it on 6500). The sharpness is tolerable, not so oh and oh, but quite good. Chromatic aberrations when shooting in jpg do not strain. Focuses quickly on almost the entire range of focal lengths. You can take good portraits, but for this you need to move away and have good lighting. Together with the stabilizer, the carcasses allow you to shoot hand-held even in a cave at a shutter speed of 1/8 at a focal length of, say, 30. In general, if the aperture were better, there would be no price for it. Having bought it, I immediately sold a pair of 18-55 and 55-210 (here it feels sharper on long focal lengths, but the ease of use factor of one travel lens outweighed). Unfortunately, the choice of universal wide-range travel lenses for Sony station wagon crop is minimal and you have to choose from it 18-105, 18-200 - I havenβt tried these and canβt compare.
