I used them on my jeep to protect the paint on the door sills. All stock door sills are too thick and won't seat the door seal properly. The film is thin and surprisingly strong. It's not the easiest foil to install, especially on small compound turns, but it's doable. Simply use plenty of water on both the painted surface and the foil and keep spraying to keep everything WET until ready to be scraped off or pressed down. Don't sweat tiny bubbles. They disappear when dry.
