These are the highest quality pajamas I've seen in years. A drawstring waist is a must. I no longer buy pajamas without them, because over time the usual elastic stretches so much that the pants have to be pulled up every minute. These pajamas have an extra thick elastic waistband in addition to the drawstring and are made from thick, soft flannel, do not require waistband closures through and fasten with buttons instead of the usual buttons that loosen over time. The "buttons down" in the online description appears to refer to the front buttons of the jacket, not the collar. Judging by the photo, the size (small in my case) is quite large. I didn't notice any shrinkage after washing, but that's normal. I will most likely order two more pairs after a few washes and socks.
