Review on πŸ’§ Efficient Water Removal with the Beckett CB151UL 115 Volt Condensate Pump by Jonathan Sriubas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fortunately, the NC switch can easily be reconfigured as new.

This Becket CB151UL is a replacement for a 17 year old Becket CB151SUL that has served us well removing condensate from two adjacent HVAC systems in the summer and pumping residual water from two Aprilaire humidifiers in the winter. Eventually, the water supply rate to the humidifiers exceeded the capacity of the pumps, causing the reservoir to overflow. This slightly different model, note the absence of the "S", incorporates a safety switch which is a regular NC (normally closed) microswitch fitted to an independent float designed for connection to a Low voltage thermostat-to-thermostat signal is designed. air handler. The theory is that if the tank fills up due to a pump failure or clogging, the air conditioning can be turned off, preventing further condensation and avoiding nasty flooding. Luckily, the NC switch is easily reconfigured to be a NO switch, which I then wired in parallel with the high water alarm (like the Glentronics BWD-HWA I previously bought from Amazon). This block looks almost identical to the one it replaces and I hope will have the same lifespan.
