Try lots of activated charcoal first and change it often and you can solve tannin/cloudiness problems cheaper and easier than Purigen. However, Purigen is guaranteed to clean your water quickly! However, I would advise not to attach too much importance to the idea of reloading. Yes, you can do it, but it's tedious and requires the use of lots of Seachem Prime (and NO other dechlorinators). The $savings are then lost. Seachem Prime is very expensive compared to other dechlorination products (in fact it is) so the money you save by charging Purigen is eaten up by purchasing Seachem Prime. Stick to activated charcoal whenever possible and I'd forget about charging purigen.
