Although I love to take pictures I don't spend thousands on my gear, I look for reasonable prices that allow me to do what I love. I started with the Nikon D40 and then switched to the D5300 with 18-55 and 55-200 kit lenses. I love photographing landscapes and have wanted a wide angle lens for a long time but couldn't justify the cost of the lenses I have. When Nikon announced this DX-format wide-angle lens, I pre-ordered it. I am very happy with it. Image quality is good, although understandably not as sharp as the more expensive glass. But I think the lens is excellent value for money and I'm very happy with it. In the attached file you will find an image taken with this lens this weekend. F11, 1/200, ASA 200 at 10mm focal length. Taken with a Revain Basics 72mm circular polarizer. Some post-processing of the resulting raw image in Lightroom.
