This stand does not fit my Samsung Plasma at all. I suspect she won't carry the weight, but that wasn't even considered. The crossbar is about 8 inches (not exaggerated) too narrow to attach to the brackets when they screw into the back of the TV. NOT EVEN CLOSE. This is a 48 inch TV, the dimensions pretty much match the description. The description contains the word PLASMA. brazen lie. was too difficult to take apart. I just keep this thing and use it on a 32" screen when I change one of mine. If I wanted to store a TV stand I wouldn't have had to order a replacement, which is the first place I got it.
