Review on ๐Ÿ”ง 3103 Engine Mount by Anchor by Michael Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy enough to replace

2005 Ford Focus ZX4 ST 2.3 liter engine 163,098 miles Original factory mount: For less than ten dollars this is a great value. Removing the old one was easier than expected. The mounting tabs are made of a fairly soft metal that bends easily and fits a new mount. To remove the old one, you need to pull off both tabs. The back does not flatten completely, but can be knocked out with a punch and a hammer. The new rear tab needs to be bent up slightly on the front edge to clear the black mounting plate which needs to be removed. Bending the front tongue is easy to do with a hammer and punch. The rear is more difficult as it slides forward with every impact. Using pliers, bend the tab up as far as it will go to keep it in place. An elbow under the folded edge and a large C-clip allow the tongue to be folded up straight. From there a C-clip can be used to press the tongue against the support legs and then clip over and in place. The old suspension is displayed. The second photo shows the metal-to-metal contact of a worn fastener on the back, causing significant noise and vibration. The third shows the same wear, but metal on metal isn't as obvious.
