Review on Mirka Mirlon Scuff NonWoven 18 111 448 by Flex Graham

I use them for woodworking and they are excellent. Since I'm using a water-based finish, I don't use regular steel wool. I end up using this grade very carefully for the first polish with Dawn and water after 3 coats of polyacrylic and at least 24 hours for my mark. (You can find some examples on YouTube). I then use a finer grit Mirlon Total, then finer wet/dry sandpaper and get a wonderful finish that feels smooth as silk. They differ from the Mirlon TOTAL grinding wheels in that they are thinner and I use a beige gold wheel for the second polish. Then very fine wet dry paper up to 4000 grit, then polished with wax. I like Mirlon more than other brands and especially Total. I also use other grains/colors of these pads on bare wood. It's also great value compared to a smaller quantity, but you might want to try a trial pack first to see if it's right for you. Remember they are coarser than Mirlon Total.
