For calibrating a torque wrench

I've wanted to use a digital torque meter to calibrate my clip-on torque wrenches for a long time. I also wanted to use it with a broken rod when tightening my F-350 lug nuts which have a 150 ft.lb torque spec. My half-inch torque wrench maxes out at this reading and you never want to go down. or the high-end of a torque wrench. This torque transducer is rated for 250 ft-lbs! This digital Mulwark torque transducer comes in a very nice, sturdy and small molded case. I appreciate the included mini screwdriver and the extra battery holders inside the case. Please note that this device does NOT come with the two required AAA batteries. Simply use the included screwdriver to remove the four small screws to insert the batteries. When doing this, be sure to hold the device over a tray or table, because if you drop the screws, you'll never find them. I'd rather just remove the battery cover as I don't see the need for screws. Although admittedly this is a more reliable design. The kit includes an instruction manual with all the information you need to operate this device. Just have your reader and/or magnifying glass handy because the font is about 2 haha! Also included is a calibration certificate listing the serial number of the unit - see my drawing. It is calibrated at three different levels: 68, 204 and 340 Nm. Any deviation on my device was less than 1%. The certificate bears the date of the test and the name of the tester, but no signature. This device also works as a tire pressure gauge, which I found a bit odd. I don't think I'll ever use it and I'd rather it wasn't there. However, this is just personal preference and you may like it. At the moment I am very happy with this device and will update if heavy use in the future leads to negative results. By the way, this type has a lifetime warranty and is made in Taiwan. Please mark my review as helpful if it was helpful to you. Thanks.
