Installed on Lexus 2005 ES330, I recommend considering/planning how to route the cables to the camera. For the ES330 I had to remove the underside of the rear seat, which was pretty easy. (Check your car model on YouTube). Then I had to deal with the reverse lines (probably the most difficult aspect of the installation). Then I had to drill a hole for the video camera somewhere near the license plate so I could run the cable into the trunk. Route the wire under the plastic trim (a plastic spoon handle may help pinch it) on the passenger side and under the glove box. My only downside was that the length of the cable from the monitor to the power/video connector had to be longer so I could hide the connectors somewhere (RCA connectors). Otherwise a fairly simple structure.
