Review on πŸ”” Ring Video Doorbell Pro Compatible 16V 30VA Hardwired Door Chime Transformer by Scott Mauri

Revainrating 5 out of 5

At first I didn't think it would work.

First let me say that I bought these because my Ring Video Doorbell Pro freezes when someone rings the doorbell and I apply the voltage that connects to it and also the wires from the mechanical one Doorbell unplugged itself Save power to the video portion of the system, notice poor performance and freeze video clips. At first I was disappointed. That's why. My old bell transformer had an output voltage of 18.5 volts. I installed this transformer and found that the output voltage is only 17.9. think that it will be no better and maybe even worse than the last Transformer. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually helped solve my video freezing issues! Hooray! I've had my RVD Pro for a year now and so far it has never reached its full potential. It kept us informed of the traffic outside but always hung up when the button was pressed. Now everything is in order. Installation time will vary for you and you should have some electrical knowledge. You'll need a voltage multimeter to make sure you've triggered the correct switch, and also measure the output power if you're interested. You will also need a screwdriver to tighten the connections. I recommend marking the wires with some tape and/or taking a picture of the original setup. I'm not sure if it has +/- either, so I would measure the output to match the polarity (it might be silly, but I did it anyway). It took me about 45 minutes because I broke a small wire (and didn't see a break) and needed to figure out what the problem was. Excellent purchase!
