Our old roller brush got dirty (after many years of use) and stopped spinning. So we bought this replacement and it's like new. Follow online or manual instructions to replace. It takes a little strength to do this. I'm an out of shape woman in my 40's and was able to do it after a few tries. You must pull the drive belt taut while engaging the pulley. It's a lot cheaper than replacing the whole vacuum cleaner. You can also buy a replacement belt and HEPA filter as these will also need to be replaced from time to time.
