Applying mascara to the eyelashes with a brush takes a lot of effort. I can't comment on the formula in terms of smudging, clumping etc because I just can't get much out of the brush and onto my lashes. Sounds like a problem with the brush. I have long lashes and I'm really good at applying makeup and I'm not a fan of this brush at all. Completely new; it reminds me of a nearly disappeared tube of the pink and green $3.99 Maybelline bottle. I will never buy again. I prefer the cheap Maybelline mascara and the more expensive Clinique mascara. Just try to find something better. Failed.
