WORKS GREAT! Now the lanes are great and no more 360° turns when I stop (a typical problem with Dolphin kayaks). The surface of the Dolphin kayak is not flat enough to be attached to and while you can heat the mount to make it flexible, that is not enough and the recommended boat glue will not stick. However, my husband used waterproof double sided tape instead (usually used to secure things in showers) and it worked great (just clean the area first and then sand a little with sandpaper or steel wool before using tape to secure). ). Holds up great! I didn't use the screws/straps that hold the skeg in place because I wanted to be able to pop the skeg out when not in use. It's firm enough that it won't fall out during use, and when I'm done I can remove the skeg and bring the kayak to shore with the bracket right in the water, but the skeg won't bend or cave in in the sand.
