Good solution for some furniture that would scratch my new acacia wood floor*. It was only a temporary fix for some of the furniture, allowing us to regain use of our family room with new hardwood floors after ripping out the carpeting. But as for the other items, we found these rolling cups were good enough to be a permanent solution since they were hidden and the furniture wasn't going to move much anyway. * Casters on furniture that sits on carpet are completely different than what you might want when you have hardwood floors. In fact, they are completely opposite to each other. Carpet rollers (usually with metal caps or balls) will scratch the wood, while wooden rollers (felt or carpet) make it impossible for the furniture to slide on the carpet.
