I needed mirrors that could be easily removed if the doors needed to be reinstalled and I didn't want anything big that was more noticeable than necessary. You look great. They vibrate a little at higher speeds, but nothing to worry about. I don't think there's really anything about a detachable mirror that's truly "shock proof". During assembly, one of the screws broke, but the seller immediately sent me new mirrors without any fuss. I think it was one of those things that happens. It is important to believe that the seller took care of it. I am very happy with it. Wrangler 2008.
