After some wiggling and twisting, this replacement snapped into place and lined up perfectly.

After some wiggling and twisting this replacement snapped into place and fitted perfectly. Nothing else needed to be removed (not even the flywheel housing) to remove and install the old starter. The supplied washers were not needed. Works as it should. On the other hand, it was very annoying to see that this GM Delco starter had a "Made in China" sticker on it.
