🔋 ACDelco Gold Starter 337-1016 Review

Starter uncoated, unpainted. The only complaint, if any, is the small terminals, which are slightly larger than the original. I had to take a drill and drill out the wire ring terminals to fit this magnet. The rest works fine!

Perfect fit and very easy to install yourself. Removing and reinstalling provided a great workout! The hardest part was holding the starter with my hand while installing the bolts. I recommend connecting the battery positive terminal and the ignition relay before screwing it on.

Bolted perfectly with my 1994 GMC K1500 5.7 liter. Didn't have to use washers. Manufactured in China under license from Delco but looks like the original full size starter motor on my 90's Chevy truck. Replaced a mini starter on my 94 that was starting to fail. It seems stronger, runs better, takes up more space, but works great so far! The price is better than refurbished in a local shop.

After some wiggling and twisting this replacement snapped into place and fitted perfectly. Nothing else needed to be removed (not even the flywheel housing) to remove and install the old starter. The supplied washers were not needed. Works as it should. On the other hand, it was very annoying to see that this GM Delco starter had a "Made in China" sticker on it.

Shape/finish was better than expected for the price. easy to install. I know it has nothing to do with the part. But I lay under the car and just laughed. So when I moved the back of the starter up and then slid forward to engage the bell housing and flywheel. I inserted both mounting bolts into the gearbox and reached over to tighten the power/battery wire and apparently the wire was slid onto the stud. I thought maybe I was insane/insane etc but no it actually happened and I lay there for a…

I finally had to replace the starter motor in my 1988 GMC Suburban after 31 years of use and the new one looks just as strong as the old one. Great fit and finish and also came with gaskets (didn't need them for my setup) with new screws for the solenoid and heat shield. The very simple installation took about 45 minutes. Just a word of warning, the old and new starters are VERY heavy. Be careful when removing the old starter if it is under the car. Hopefully this new starter will last another…

Small price, quick delivery. ATTENTION! Not a good deal at all. The first starter worked fine for a couple of days, then it just kicked in and cranked the engine continuously until the battery cable was disconnected (I don't think I need to explain how dangerous that is). defects happen.
