The Snailax massager arrived undamaged and did not require any assembly or setup prior to use. After unpacking, simply place the massage chair on a sturdy chair, plug the power adapter into an outlet and the other end into the massager cord, and you're ready to go. Note. I've tried both massagers on a variety of surfaces, including a sofa and a recliner, but prefer the hard surface of a hard, high-backed chair. Unlike my other massager, the Snailax has two elastic straps to hold the massager in place. If you don't have a high-back chair, you can often find very good and inexpensive high-back chairs in thrift stores. Once installed, there are multiple massage options, many of which can be used individually or all at the same time.1) Shiatsu Neck and Shoulder Massage (Heat on/off, timer for 5, 10, 15 minutes) β’ Rotate 4 massage nodes in this mode clockwise or counterclockwise, with or without heating. The height of the neck and shoulder massage units can be adjusted up or down with the remote control, which is a handy feature when more than one person is using this massager. β’ I'm just under 5'10 and was able to adjust the massage nodes perfectly for me. Two of my friends, one 5ft 2" and the other 5ft 5", also had no problem fitting the neck and shoulder massage units to them. (If you are small, you can also put a pillow on the seat.) 2) Shiatsu back massage (heating on/off - timer for 5, 10, 15 minutes) β’ This mode is used for the back with 4 adjustable and heated Massage nodes that can be set to 4 modes. β’ Full Back: Massage nodes move up and down the length of the back. β’ Upper Back: The massage nodes focus on the upper back. β’ Lower Back: Massage modes focus on the lower back. β’ Point: This mode allows you to adjust the massage nodes up or down in a specific area. 3) Back Massage (Heat On/Off - 5, 10, 15 minute timer) β’ This mode works the same as the Shiatsu massage mode (except the "point mode"), but instead of the circular patterns of Shiatsu knots, the massage knots simply move back and forth. high); There is no heating option in this mode. Are you getting a decent massage from that Snailax massager? I say yes, definitely. I mainly use the back massager in the shiatsu/heating mode and adjust the massage nodes to either go all the way down the back or adjust it to the areas that need it most. I also really like the neck and shoulder massager as I can easily adjust the height to get the massage nodes just how I need them. I find that using the back and neck/shoulder massage modes at the same time is relaxing. When I need a deeper massage, I use each mode separately. As for the vibrating seat, I sometimes use that option. It's just a vibrating sensation some may or may not like. After using the massager, I simply unplug it, fold up the bottom of the seat, and store it in a closet. Finally, don't expect the Snailax massager to offer the same type of massage that you would get from a huge and expensive massage chair. However, for the price and compact size, I think it offers a pretty thorough (and relaxing) massage. I will update this review if I encounter any issues.
