I had to figure out a little with the connection diagram, since the instructions are not very clear (there are a lot of them, but fragmentary). Beep, that's great! I will share some information, suddenly it will be useful to someone. my network I use dual monitors and a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse (with USB receiver) between my HP work laptop dock and my Mac Mini. I think it took me the most time to realize that there must be two cables going from the SVM switch to each computer. The switch comes with one, and you just need to run a regular HDMI cable over it. So my setup required me to connect one of the two cables that came with it AND add an extra HDMI cable to each computer. The included cables include a USB connector on one end (the end that you connect to your computer(s)) to control your mouse, camera, or other USB devices that you connect to the Switch to share between computers. Then connect the regular HDMI cables that come with your computers. If you plug all of this into the back of the KVM switch, notice that looking from the back (and this is the part I don't feel very clear about) the top row is left to right for a computer and the bottom row is for another computer. This may be very obvious to some, but if it was stated more clearly on the back or in the instructions it wouldn't have taken me so long to figure it out. On the downside, I don't need a remote - it literally sits on my desk between my monitors, but I can see where if you had wall-mounted TVs somewhere and wanted to set this unit up and out of the way, this could be SUPER convenient to have this remote control.
