I mostly use them to tone my face with witch hazel every night and I don't like them rolled up so tight. They rolled off when cleaning the face, preventing them from being used. However, I found a way to circumvent this. I find the end where the cotton was folded and unfold everything, fold it in thirds and it's perfect! In that sense, it's larger and closer to a cotton pad. I think the complaints about it being too small are because it is rolled very tight making it small and hard.
