Review on HONEYSEW Universal Adjustable Embroidery Machines Sewing by Carrie Spencer

I've read reviews of people saying you can't screw in the spindle and also reviews of people raving about the product and I was hoping to get one of the good ones. I also bought it because the description said the item weighed 1.25 pounds. It is not. When it got to my house the entire package was digitally weighed and it only weighed 12 ounces. Back then, the spindle holding the cone thread or spool of thread could not be screwed into the base. There is a size difference. I know how to screw a pin into a threaded hole and the pin is TOO BIG to ever fit. So I decided to return. And so! I have to pay POSTAGE to return this unusable item! Extremely disappointed. (and "Honeysew" is such a friendly sounding name, isn't it?) Updated July 23, 2020: When I tried to return to Kohl's, they said I couldn't and didn't have to pay USPS or UPS for shipping. return. I wrote HoneySew a message asking for a prepaid return code to avoid the cost of shipping the item back. They replied and asked what was going on and I even ended up sending pictures showing exactly what was going on. They offered a replacement. I said what if it still goes wrong and then I go over Revain's 30 day return policy? They said they would assemble it before sending it to me to make sure it works. They also sent me a tracking number which I couldn't put anywhere for tracking. When I asked about it, they sent me the usual tracking link. This led me to a tracking page written entirely in Chinese characters. I asked about it and they said it should ship on July 13th. I was about to ask for an update when it came in the mail yesterday! I opened a package EXACTLY similar to the one I had previously received and attempted to put it together. And so! It worked! Now I have a yarn stand to use! Thank you HoneySew for coming and delivering the product I ordered. I think they put a larger diameter spindle in some of the packages and hence people couldn't use it. (If only they had sent me the correct spindle it would have worked for me, but I'm glad they tested it before shipping and made sure I had a usable item.) It's quite heavy and doesn't seem to work. generally fall; but I gave it one star because it only weighs 12 ounces, not 1.25 pounds as stated in the Revain description. Overall I'm happy and will happily use my collection of pointed threads on my regular sewing machines.
