I think it's important to mention that IF you like cotton bedding you will love this bedding. I can't speak for everyone but my impression from some of the negative reviews is that people are complaining about the average quality cotton sheets. These are good crispy leaves that maintain a comfortable temperature. I never feel too cold or overheated with them.2. Yes, cotton sheets need multiple washes to become softer. Every time I get new cotton towels, I first wash them in warm water with a jar of baking soda (not detergent!). Cotton sheets often come with chemicals that make them stiff and presumably the detergent can "fix" them. Then I wash them a second time with detergent and fabric softener. After two washes, these sheets were almost as soft as a five year old sheet! cotton folds. Relax. This doesn't usually bother me, so I might not notice it, but I haven't had any issues with these sheets wrinkling. The sheets are so thick that you can't see the pattern on my mattress, even though mine is white.5. The deep pockets are deep enough and have space for my giant mattress. All in all I would recommend her! Just make sure you know what you're getting.
