My computer desk has a few niches under the desk. I had two SSDs dangling from a small computer that sits under a desk on a disused IBM tower. I placed the DVD drive in the left corner and then attached two SSDs to it via USB connections. . The optical drive receives power and data via a USB connection to the computer below.
