6/24/17 - Update The color change (brown to black) has been on my Jeep's rear window for over 6 months now. It's mostly intact, but there are a few frayed spots where the tan is slightly visible. It should be noted that this is probably due to the fall of the tip. Living in Virginia, the top has only been lowered a few times as it's a little cold here in the winter. Let's see if the wear and tear gets worse in the summer. I have attached a photo showing the change. I still recommend this product. I have plenty of bottles left to touch up worn spots. I hope this helps others who want to make this type of change. Top color change with pictures on Jeep Wrangler rear window. I used this to change the color of the rear top window I was using from brown to black and here are the results. Positive first. The kit includes all the supplies (except tape) needed to apply paint. The gel is easy to apply and lasts a long time on the outer surface of the windows. It also dries quickly without leaving any sticky marks. I didn't fill the entire cap, but one bottle should be enough for my jeep. The rest of this review isn't negative, but a word of caution when changing colors. As stated above, the gel is of great importance for the appearance. After the first layer dried, the tan was barely noticeable. I applied a second coat which gave me >95% coverage. I don't see any tan but the black is still a little lighter than the raw black top. Although I only applied a small area, I'm sure it takes at least two coats to turn a non-black top black. I also applied the gel to the inside of the window on my top. This surface is very absorbent. The manufacturer recommends diluting the gel in this way. If you want to change the color of the inside of the lid, you may need additional bottles. Nobody could cover the inside of my Wrangler undiluted. It should be noted that nowhere on the Forever Black packaging or website is this advertised as a color changing product. It worked for me on this application.
