As for the idea - fabulous. Does the job completely. My problem is that at 5ft 2in I get, um, bang for your buck. If it was just a small amount of dirt it would be so bad but I use it to scrape off my dirty boots after working in the chicken coop so it's a lot more. as dirt. My 5ft 8in husband doesn't get punches in the face so it's really a little man problem. I'm trying to find some sort of splash guard to help. Otherwise it does what it's supposed to and is heavy enough that we just put it on the grass, didn't screw it on and it held up.
