Review on ViewSonic VG1655 Portable Speakers: Frameless 1920X1080 Display with πŸ”Š Flicker-Free Technology, Blue Light Filter & Anti-Glare - Find out more! by John Macovei

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy setup and a lot easier than I expected

ordered this (standard, non-touch) and a ykk monitor for comparison. didn't even open ykk because it was much heavier. ykk was more of a bargain on peak day, but I figured the difference in weight was worth the extra bucks. Pros - Much lighter than I expected (13 ounces without cord). Plug and play with 2 different HP laptops. tested for a few days and hope to use it for remote work. At the moment it acts as a third monitor. Considerations -- It took a few tries to set up, and I wish the instructions were more helpful. For example, they could note where the power button is (bottom right on my model) and what the difference is between the two USB-C ports. one is labeled "type c" and the other has four wires, but both run power and display. I would also have liked a more stable stand. it's only a few inches wide, which I think allows for portrait/landscape orientation), but it's wobbly and I accidentally knocked it over a few times. Also, not all USB ports and cables are created equal. I thought I could use this with my Pixel 6, but it turns out that neither the USB-C port nor the OEM cable supports video output. but not the fault of the monitor. Overall, I'm happy to use it on the go and use the extra screen in addition to the full-size monitor since my desk is too small for two full-size monitors. I hope it lasts!
