Problems with the lock render it unusable

Nice collar and I was attracted to the rolled leather comfort feature. HOWEVER, it is IMPOSSIBLE to lock and keep it locked. The little metal tab that's supposed to snap isn't long enough to get through the layers of the collar (especially if you're trying to put it on a squirming cat), and on the off chance that it's successful it will come loose from the neck. After our cat took it off 3 times in 1 hour, we gave up and threw it (the collar, not the cat) in the bin.
