Minerals in our hard water were causing severe corrosion of the entire sink drain, so we needed this replacement part to make the pop up drain pop again. I wasn't sure about the brand of the faucet so I gave it a go with this Danco ball stud which looked very similar to the old part. We finally got it working on our gutter, but I can't say it was easy. It takes a lot of effort to position the pole correctly so that the drain rises enough but then also closes completely when it goes down! We were working on a pedestal sink so we had fairly easy access to the work area; When your sink is in a vanity, it becomes even more of a hassle. Plumbers are quick with this type of repair, sometimes it's just worth paying someone else to do something!
