I use them to warm a leopard gecko's belly under the tank at night and the thermometer averages around 95 degrees. There are no issues with rapid heating or gradual cooling, and I prefer not to use glue so I can easily adjust its position if needed. It's also a big plus that it's waterproof, just in case. The only downside is that the temperature dial doesn't have a minimum and maximum temperature marked around the dial. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with it or its functionality, which is why I give it two thumbs up.
