These tools are the best! Although I don't use them for soldering, I do use them in my art. I've used them to hold various objects while I was working on them as well as to hold the object while sculpting. It's a lot easier to have those "extra hands" with you. They seem pretty solid but I recommend using common sense when it comes to the weight you are trying to handle and the clamps are strong but I do not recommend being rough on them. But I believe if you take care of this thing it will last a long time. It's also well weighted below. When I first received the box I thought it would be small but when I opened it I found they had just folded it up and it was a lot bigger than I first thought. If you enjoy creating art, I'm sure you can use this article. It also has a magnifying glass that a family member bought for me and I really enjoy using it too. This is really a great product for the price.
