Very helpful tool to help monitor live traffic
It has helped me with my job as an Air Traffic Controller when I was flying in Alaska during some very harsh weather conditions (heavy snow storms). The app showed both radar images from nearby airports AND our airport's own screen so that we had more info at hand for decisions making purposes! Even though it seems like there are many bells & whistles available this system does not have them all yet and only recently got its first update since 2006 or 2007!! So far everything works fine - no complaints here :D If you're looking into getting one make sure they offer 24hr service because after 3 years your warranty runs out otherwise pay $1500+$150 per year just until then ;) We were able use the device while landing aircrafts even if those planes weren't registered by us anymore; using their VOR numbers instead :).
