Review on 💡 Lithonia Lighting LED Downlight Retrofit Kit by Zach Flores

I wanted to replace eight 50 watt halogen bulbs in modified 4 inch boxes. I looked through four other LED replacement products before I found this one. There are two features that set this LED replacement apart from the rest: 1) perfect color temperature and 2) the light source is recessed deeper into the housing than any other, reducing glare. I was surprised that in our application (in the kitchen) the difference between a 3000K and a 2700K light source would make a difference. However, this is true. The 3000K light source seemed harsh. Another 2700K product I tried appeared very yellow to me. These replacements provided perfect color and far less glare than other brands. I tried them with an approved dimmer and they worked great and were completely silent. Dimming is also very interesting because when the light level gets lower it becomes something like a point source in the center of the lamp. These were the most expensive replacement parts I've tried and I wish they were cheaper, but I think you get what you pay for. They are the perfect replacement for my application.
