And these cables are good quality, long enough for my use and work great with my Tripp Lite USB KVM Switch. You do NOT have to use these cables, I used separate USB and VGA cables in the past, but they make the process much easier and more reliable. The annoying thing is that you have to buy cables for KVM, they don't come with KVM. But given the price and performance it's still a good deal and I'd buy both again.
