Received this about a week ago as a result of another California wildfire season. I live in an urban loft, which is a large room with lots of air, and I rely on opening windows to control the temperature, so fighting the smoke has been a constant struggle. Regular $100 room-size HEPA filters have little to no effect in my home. At low to medium speeds, this unit is unobtrusively quiet. The high is a bit louder, but still not bad considering how much air the device moves. The device arrived on a pretty bad day and the PM2.5 level in my attic was around 40 µg/m^3. I unpacked it, plugged it in and set it to high. After a few hours, PM2.5 dropped to 2 µg/m^3 and stayed very low except when I opened the windows and breathed in a ton of outside air. The filter took care of that pretty quickly. after I closed the windows again. The device is slim and unobtrusive and feels very well designed overall. The filters are easy to remove and install, the controls are simple, and everything works as it should.
