Someone would have to be deaf to not work for them. I can hear a TV but to understand what is being said"?" I have noticed putting the microphone on top of the TV, farther from the TV speaker, sounds better, and works when I go into another room. It is nice to be able to understand what is being said so much better. If they hold up at least a couple years I'll be happy.
