This is a wonderful blanket. I have included photos as customer photos appear like a very different quilt. Apparently I pull my covers up at night when I'm cold, nothing else. As described, it goes almost to the ground. Enough fabric to reach the floor at the end of the bed and enough to tuck in and then fold back up and over your sleeping pillows. Overlays are a nice touch but with a king sized topper you definitely need king sized pillows in the topper, the fluffier the better, or put two on the topper like I did on the right in my photos. It's heavy enough that it doesn't feel like a throw or thin blanket, but light enough that it doesn't feel too warm, like a duvet. The fabric is smooth, but the quilting gives it some texture, just enough to make it clear that it's holding up well without being wrinkled or puffy. I bought a valance in the same fabric but without padding. There are so many different colors that I think most of them could match it with carpet, walls, furniture etc. Our walls are light blue and the carpet is beige, our furniture is light wood and the bed frame is ivory. Bone. It brings everything together perfectly! Ignore the saggy mattress, I didn't realize it was so saggy until we covered it with a flat, smooth bedspread. I would buy this for other bedrooms if they had different prints or patterns.
