Excellent HDMI conversion.

Better picture quality was a plus, but having all video and audio signals in one cable helps reduce the amount of "wiring" to the TV. The device has a separate audio output that is only used to send audio to the amplifier. You don't need a separate audio cable to connect it directly to the TV.
