If you have a newer operating system than Windows Vista, this just won't work for you. If you're still using Vista, this *might* work for you if you follow a very specific set of installation instructions to get your system to use it. However, there's a good chance you'll experience lots of random blue screens, often while working on something using this device. However, if you are still using Windows XP (not compatibility mode! Native XP), you can easily install and use this device and accompanying software. However, you will likely still suffer from occasional blue screens. IF you happen to spot this thing on your system and install it properly. Good luck finding software that recognizes it, apart from the bundled software, which is also outdated and doesn't work on newer systems. beyond my understanding. I bought one a long time ago and even then it didn't work with certain hardware/software configurations, not to mention the audio lag which annoyingly made it pointless to use gaming consoles through my PC monitor (to record gameplay). , and even more pointless to convert old VHS tapes to digital. What is it for? Stay away from this atrocity. It was below average in 2003 and worth nothing in 2014.
