I started SUP surfing in April 2021. This was the first paddle that I bought. I had no issues with the paddle the first one or two times that I used it. After the third time though, I noticed that water was getting inside the paddle. I wrote to the company and they told me to remove the plug if I was able. I was never able to find a tool that would do that. I could shake the water out after each surf session, but it took a ton of shaking each time. I used the paddle like this until December when I started to paddle for a wave and the paddle completely broke off and sank. I probably used the paddle 75 times before it broke.I believe this paddle would be great for the person that occasionally paddles in lakes or springs, but if you are a surfer, racer, or anyone that occasionally might have the paddle go into the water, I'd look for something of better quality.
