I wish I had the same results all the great reviews had

Well, I saw all the great reviews on this Furzone blade, so I decided I needed to try them, since I've had so much bad luck with horrible blades from OSTER, ANDIS, and WAHL. I had never tried the FURZONE, till now. I bought four new FURZONE #10 last Friday, and they arrived very quickly. I used one just today, 6/2/20. I've had Persian cats for 40 years, and frequently have to strip them down as they do matt-up quickly. I used the Furzone with my new ANDIS cordless clipper. Unfortunately, I have to say I am very disappointed !This blade would not cut even one cat. It would not cut under the mats, so I tried to use the same blade on an unmatted cat's fur, and still, it would not cut correctly. It left the entire cost choppy, uneven, full of marks, lines, and at different lengths. It completely went over mats and would not cut beneath the mats. It was so bad, I decided to postpone till I could order a 40 surgical blade. I've got 3 more Furzone blades to try, but I'm not very excited about them. Maybe it will be just one bad blade? I hope so. I've had the same horrible results with the Oster LUCKY 9 cat blades, Wahl, Andis Cat blades, and the Master blades were the worst! The best blades I have ever used were the original OSTER blades of 40 years ago.I will post updates as I use the remaining 3 FURZONE blades. I think no one makes a good blade to cut PERSIANS!

Pros
  • My wife uses this to trim the horses and it’s solid materials.
Cons
  • The detachable blade may become loose during use, posing a safety hazard

Superb blade. Was recommended to me in a groomer''s group. Expensive, yes. But you won''t be disappointed.
