I bought my first set 2 years ago and am very happy with it. Since then I have needed a larger supply of charged batteries. I have ordered another package. I am very satisfied with the performance of these batteries. I use a Tenergy charger. The charger has an AC adapter and also works in my work truck with a DC adapter. Now I always have freshly charged batteries. AAA batteries don't last long in the remote or my programmable thermostat, but it's fine, replace and charge. In my multimeters, 9 volt batteries last about a year on average. D-Elements will last around 4-6 months in magnetic light with average use. The AA battery lasts about a week in my LED mini shop with normal use. In my multimeters and sprinkler controls, 9 volts lasts about a year. Replace them all at the same time with the smoke sensor and you should be fine. They charge well in my truck with the Nightcore D2 charger. Because I have a lot of battery powered items, I've only spent $120 on batteries over 3 years. The initial investment may seem high, but in general you won't buy batteries for many years.
