Review on πŸš— Turbo 17711 Exhaust Muffler by Thrush by Pushkraj Barton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My samurai can breathe.

This muffler was an amazing addition to my 1990 Suzuki Samurai with Thorley heads and 2" exhaust. The muffler gives the tiny 1.3 liter engine a nice deep sound. I was drawn to this Ford Ranger muffler forum because they mentioned good sound. On my samurai, the noise isn't too loud, and it doesn't sound like burning double-glazed windows with rice. When I turn off the engine, it makes a pleasant low growl. It's not a muffler to wake the neighbors up, which I like because I love cockpit music, but you can hear it when you accelerate. This is exactly what I was looking for in a high flow muffler that isn't an ugly double pane. Not sure if the muffler is commendable but my samurai can breathe a lot more freely with headers, a 2 inch exhaust and this muffler. It's a lot bigger than my standard samurai muffler so I assume there's enough room for the exhaust. I took HP and great sound. A disclaimer, I gave it 4 stars because it's not a stock muffler. I've seen it online as the Flowmaster, Dynomax and Thrush but it's really versatile. The muffler is not stamped with a brand and my exhaust specialist told me it is a normal one. I can't comment on the durability of its construction, but two days after installing this thing was the boss. I'm seriously considering installing it in my 1990 Ford Ranger.
